Margate Old Town is steeped in history. Dating back to the time it was a sleepy little fishing hamlet to the halcyon days of the Dreamland era, there have been an amazing array of events that have shaped the Old Town.

Within the few cobbled streets of Margate Old Town there lies a wealth of artists' studios and galleries as well as specialist shops and restaurants to delight and entice you.

The Old Town is rapidly developing into the creative quarter which will compliment the forthcoming Turner Contemporary Gallery,

This website is maintained by two shops trading within the Old Town, Qing and Remembrance Angel. It was originally created by the proprietor of Remembrance Angel in May 2009 when no 'official' website for the Old Town existed. Local photographer Johnny Hepburn has offered his images for this site and the Old Town's Facebook page and so the more refined images on this site are thanks to Johnny.
